When Chic Brides Brunch: A Q&A with Michelle Bundu of A4dable Events

Are you newly engaged and don’t know where to start? Are you a bride-to-be ballin’ on a budget? I spoke with Michelle Bundu from A4dable Events about her experience as a wedding and event planner, her upcoming event When Chic Brides Brunch, and why planning a wedding doesn’t have to turn you into a Bridezilla.
RSVP’s for the event are filling up fast, so make sure you click the link to reserve your spot for the When Chic Brides Brunch on April 30 which will be held at Salsa With Silvia. Support Black Women in small business and enjoy a Bridal Brunch, too! I am told the ALL are welcome.

How long have you worked in the wedding industry?

I’ve been in the wedding industry for over  4 years, and even though it’s a tough industry, there is no greater feeling than being a part of such a personal day in another persons’s life where you get to feel the real magic of life which is love.

Why did you feel the need to create this experience? Our Bridal brunch is to connect great local vendors, mostly small business, to brides that will be needing their services for their special day. It is so important that we support local business because we work extremely hard, and our goal is, and always will be, to exceed our client’s expectations.

What should brides-to-be expect when the walk into the venue? As they walk into the fully decorated venue, they will feel like there are attending a wedding. We created a relaxed atmosphere and program where brides will see and experience everything bridal from cake tasting, decor, bridal fashion and they will even get the chance to win a bridal gown!

What made you decide to throw this type of event? I’ve been to bridal trade shows and my fair share of wedding related events and spaces, was doing something different your goal? Bridal shows can be very overwhelming, and most vendors are overly eager to make a sale. Also planning a wedding can be very stressful, but brides need to know that we are here for them: you can still have the wedding of your dreams on a budget, all you need is a great planner and local vendors that will be able to assist you on your special day. Our brunch gives you the chance to see the vendors in action, learn valuable information about the wedding industry, and meet great people.

This Chic Brides Brunch is new, will this be a yearly event for A4dable Events? We had a bridal brunch last year but decided to change the name to When Chic Brides Brunch after receiving so much positive feedback from everyone that attended last year. We are certainly going to stick to the name When Chic Brides Brunch.

How will this brunch be different than other brunches? This is unlike any other brunch because it’s a very intimate setting, and there will be no pressure from the vendors. You will feel like you are actually attending a wedding; we will have a cake tasting, we’ll view a bridal fashion exhibit, and you will leave with an amazing swag bag!

Will this be a one stop destination for soon to be brides?

Are men welcome to come? This brunch will be a one-stop-shop for brides that are in need of help with their upcoming wedding. Everyone is welcome to come and mingle and learn everything about weddings.

When you sat down to envision this event, how important were the vendors to you and what made you decide on the ones attending?

It is very important to have great vendors because we really care about our brides and want to make sure they have the best. We select our vendors very carefully and make sure that they understand the scope of the event which is to build relationships, not sell, sell, sell.

Have they done this before? Most of our vendors have participated in other bridal shows but none like our own.

What do you hope brides-to-be get out of this event? To build relationships with vendors that can be able to help them recreate the wedding of their dreams.
