If you’re a vintage junkie, or have been on the hunt for a few unique pieces, I hope you attended the Guys and Dolls Vintage Pop-Up shop this past Saturday, July 23rd. With sounds provided by DJ Amen Ra, the event featured over 10 vendors, all who set up shop in the basement of the popular venue Penn Social in downtown DC. The hosts of the event were Instant Vintage 78 owners, Samantha Simms and Stacie Washington. Together they run the DC based online boutique providing carefully curated, high fashion pieces, to include men’s and women’s apparel, shoes, jewelry, and accessories.
Instant Vintage 78 specializes in vintage fashion from the 1940’s and as recent as the 1990’s. The women handpick timeless gems whose style carries through the decades. Classic pieces from some of the most prominent fashion houses in the world such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Armani, and Gucci, among others.
The event featured vendors like local designer Kenny Kas, Kouture Lippie’s, 3 Shades Chic, Revolution Vintage, and Terminology. Each brand had a variety of distinctive pieces, turning up the artsy energy in the room, and adding a bit of edge to an already phenomenal event.
As an added bonus, not only did the best dressed guests win a prize, but guests were also able to participate in the raffle giveaway where they had an opportunity to win a genuine fur piece!
